What do you do within this position?
Cook, take orders, bag orders…basically everything that there is to do except managing
What is the hardest/worst part of your job?
Dishes. I hate doing the dishes.
What is the easiest/best part of your job?
Packing for drive-thru, or cooking.
Do you get along with your coworkers?
Yes.
Do you prefer a busy shift or a dead shift?
Dead.
How much do you make per hour?
I make $9.50, but they’re getting ready to give me a raise of $10.
How many hours do you work (on average) per week?
40-50. I work between 6-7 hours per day, around 6 days a week. I worked 70-80 hours for two weeks.
Do you have any interesting stories?
A couple months ago (before summer started), I was working a morning shift (11-4) and a guy came in while we were pretty dead. He was in his 40s, and he was just flirting with me. I was so weird. He was like “oh my gosh, your eyes are pretty, you’re so adorable…” I just responded with “thank you,” and then he asked how old I was, and I was like, “I’m 16”, and he goes, “oh, I thought you were like, 20”.
Do you have a uniform?
A maroon shirt that says Popeye’s, black jeans, and black, non-slip shoes.
Do you like your job? Would you recommend it or one similar to others?
I enjoy my job…sometimes. Most of the time I hate it. I would never recommend to somebody else. It’s a very stressful job, the way we have to be able to deal with a lot of things. I’ve been there for almost a year.
Is there anything else that you would like to say?
The chicken sandwich sucks.
