I know there are many ways that people honor our flag. But I am going to say why I honor the flag. I know for a fact that it has been a pivitol part of all of our wars and battles. It has always stood there, proud as we win. It has shown our evolution and proves that no matter what we say we cannot do, we CAN do it.
If you dream that you can do it, then try. You might be surprised by what you can do. The red of our flag stands for hardiness and valor. We all work very hard and we can face any battle. That does not mean to go and get in a fight. The white on our flag means our purity and innocence. The blue on our flag means vigilance and justice. We do our best to give justice. We all try to be pure and show innocence. We might cry about what we have failed about, but that doesn’t mean give up.
You just try again. How do you expect Elvis Presley created to the legacy he has left behind? Or what about Albert Einstein and Martin Luther King, Jr. Once they failed on something they may have shed one or two tears. Maybe even three. But they got right back up and tried again. That should tell people that even if you fail to never give up.
I once told myself that I had no purpose, but soon I saw that no man nor beast could put me down like how I did to myself. I didn’t like how that felt- so what did I do? I got up and decided “I do have a purpose”. I can get through this. I just have to push through it all, I know it may be difficult to do so, but it’s not impossible. The word itself says I’m possible.
When I look at the flag, I think that people just need that push that I am willing to give to you as a chief or as a friend from high school. I am only here to give smiles to who may be close in heart or arms. To the ones who also make me smile, even if I ignore you, I will still care. You may just push me away but I will never forget nor push you away. It may hurt to see others leave- trust me I should know. It happens a lot to me. I would be that one person who will never leave anyone behind. These are are the ways in how I honor the flag.
