It’s Time to Cupid Shuffle
Liberty’s winter formal on Feb. 16 is Valentine’s Day themed
On Feb. 16, Liberty is hosting its first ever winter formal of this year. The dance will be from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and tickets are $5 and cannot be bought at the door so be sure to plan ahead.
The students of StuCo and their sponsor, Ms. Holmes, are hosting the event. The idea of the dance is to bring back the tradition of ‘girls ask guys’ to try something different and the theme is Cupid Shuffle for Valentine’s Day.
“It was the overall consensus of what [StuCo] wanted to do was girls ask guys,” Holmes said.
The dance chairs are juniors Zach Kerns and Sarah Tate, but all of StuCo is helping plan the event.
“People should come because it’s going to be awesome. It is also less stressful than homecoming and more laid back,” Tate said.
Students involved in StuCo are not the only ones excited for the dance.
“I’m looking forward to spending quality time with my friends and dance the night away,” junior Paige Eikel said.
Overall, the dance is going to be a great way to dress up and have some fun with friends.
