What was your favorite subject in high school and why?: “P.E. I LOVED being active, I have always had an obsession with exercising and playing sports. I get so much joy from being an active being, moving around, and working with others as a team!”

What do you like to do in your free time?: “Lift weights, golf, play in my men’s baseball league, and watch sports (Cardinals, Blues, Mizzou).”

What’s one way you run your classroom that you consider different from other teachers?: “I try to have a large amount of classroom discussion within my classrooms that are centered around what the students know and what the students would like to know. I stress to them in today’s world they have access to an enormous amount of information and they have the privilege to be as educated as they would like to be.” 

How do you feel teaching nowadays is different from when you were in school?: “The technology in schools nowadays is remarkable! It has changed the educational landscape for the better! Students are able to showcase all of their skills and talents in a variety of different ways and they have access to things to help self-educate. I continue to be impressed by the abilities of our students and the knowledge they have gained on their own.”
