- I was obviously pretty sad about the way that my senior year ended, I never would have ever guessed it would’ve been like this. A lot of those big milestone events that I’ve been looking forward to for what seems like forever are changing to being pushed and I’m going off to college next year so this is time that I would have been trying to make the most of with my friends that I’ll unfortunately be parting ways with in the fall. That being said I really do think what the school put together for the senior class was really special. crossing the bridge gave a sense of closure and also reminded me that still since I first walked it as a freshman. I have had a good 4 years of amazing memories from this school. The love and support from the staff really meant a lot too. I saw so many of my teachers that have made a huge impact on me and was able to say goodbye, and also saw a lot of my friends and their families (whether they be seniors in the car line or underclassmen down by the field) for the first time in person since quarantine! So I definitely loved it even though I was worried about accidentally rear-ending someone the whole time.
- Getting the opportunity to cheer on the football team in their district win!! There’s no way to describe the energy of those Friday nights and I will always be so grateful to have been a part of them… I’ve been cheering the team on for a while and they’ve obviously worked so hard to get to where they are and it’s so cool to think that they made history that night. And that game especially was so great to watch and cheer for. At the end they played “we are the champions” and it felt so surreal, like some scene out of a movie. Me and my teammates had so much fun that night just like we do every night and I know I’ll forever remember the lights!
