1. How long have you been quarantined?
I’ve been in quarantine for five days so far but was quarantined just the week before this as well.
2. Were you quarantined due to testing positive or contact tracing?
It was due to contact tracing (at lunch, which is certainly the most dangerous and chaotic time).
3. Have you exhibited symptoms?
Nope!
4. Have you gotten a COVID test? If so, were the results negative or positive?
Not this time, last time [I quarantined] I got one, this time I haven’t but probably will. It was negative last time.
5. How were you informed that you would be quarantined?
I was given a pass that said to go to the nurse (and bring stuff) the first time, and the second time I was given a pass to go to the office. Dr. Kiesel then sat down with me and explained the situation, called my parents, and gave me some extra information.
6. How has your time in quarantine been?
It’s… okay? It’s a break for sure, and that’s kind of nice, but [my place of work] work still wants me to go in even though it’s unsure whether or not I’m positive or negative at this point. It’s impossible to keep up with school work because I receive no instruction or teaching, and I’m only given the assignments online. Mrs. Feddersen is the only teacher of mine that has actually reached out and sent me emails and been willing to zoom call with me and stuff as well. (Clearly, T-O would be willing to do so as well, but we are watching a movie this week). So, school work has been hard.
7. Has it been hard to learn/participate in school while in quarantine?
I’ve lost all motivation and it’s very confusing and difficult to keep up, especially being quarantined two times in a row. I wish that the school would take a different approach to the COVID-19 situation, especially at this time as cases surge and our area is heavily affected.
