Friends from the magazine staff (two editors and a reporter) enjoyed a relaxing day at a relaxing place painting pottery together. The three picked out their favorite ceramic pieces painting it with a design of their choice.

Bostic painted a cactus while Banstetter painted a bowl, and Schlattman a frame. Each piece donned a cute pattern.

“I got to wake up late and chill with my friends. It was fun to relax for a day and not have to worry about school,” Bostic said.

They left their ceramics at the place to glaze fired to be picked up later. Hopefully, they end just as beautiful as they are right now.

Banstetter says that it was an easy decision to make to go to the Pottery Hollow since she and Schlattman go all the time.

“We then went to Target with the innocent intentions of just looking around, of course, things ended up in the cart,” Banstetter said. As it always happens, Target is a young teen’s kryptonite.
