Teacher Taylor Whitmore hosted a fall door decorating challenge with the staff earlier this fall.

“Lello and Friends” outside of room 302 took first place for the decorations. Staff member, Candace Eldredge, decorated this theme.

“It was a fall theme, so we just thought of doing hay-bales and scarecrows and then we decided to use the principals for the crows to be funny and make fun of them, plus we found this on Pinterest, ‘Kindness Leaves Others Encouraged’, and the puzzle pieces represents autism, so we kind of looked on Pintrest and took it from there,” Eldredge said.

Matthew Barker’s class took home second place, which was decorated with cutouts of Charlie Brown. Their theme was called, “Freemen and Friends.”

The nurses’ bonfire s’more-themed door took third place and they made the decorations.

“We just brainstormed and wanted something unique because the stipulation was for fall and something that could stay up through Thanksgiving and I love making s’mores on a bonfire, so that’s why we did that,” nurse Melissa Simms said.

Simms also mentions that the nurses added stars to make it more festive and pop.

These door decorations were great this year.
