Many kids and families who grow up in the Midwest, stay in the Midwest. For one reason or another, the Midwest does not have people move out to other regions. However, one student and his family are making a drastic change: moving to Florida.
Cian Bosslet (11) is a student at Liberty who is involved in the journalism program. Bosslet is a good student who has really become accustomed to living in Missouri and being an Eagle. However, his family have actually had their eyes set on Florida for a long while, and once his stepdad got a new job opportunity, the move was bound to happen.
“He’s been wanting to move there for a while,” Bosslet said of about his stepdad. “As soon as he got the change, it was an immediate decision.”
Even though living in Florida has been the dream for Bosslet and his family, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t gonna be things about Missouri that he misses. One of the hardest things about moving far away is having to leave all of your friends and the people you have met. Leaving all of them can be hard to do, and that could not be any less true for Bosslet.
“I’ll definitely miss my social life,” Bosslet said. “I know lots of people, and I could easily make friends.”
Bosslet has many friends, both in and out of Liberty, that he will have to leave, which will make him have to say a very difficult goodbye.
For any student moving away, the student is never the only one affected. The friends and the people around the student also will miss them, and that’s no different for Bosslets friends. According to John Tieman (12), Bosslet is always fun to be around at school.
“I’ll miss him in my wood tech class,” Tieman said. “Me and him talk everyday.”
Tieman also explained how enjoyable it is to have Bosslet at the lunch table.
“Lunch is always more enjoyable with him.” Tieman said.
Moving to a new place can always be a challenge. Some that are moving are worried about making new friends, some are worried about the environment, and some are worried about leaving the place that they have always been accustomed to. However, having a positive mindset will always make relocating easier, which Bosslet has continued to strive for.
“I am excited for the weather,” Bosslet said. “It’s super cold here. I’m sick of the wind assaulting me every morning.”
