Meet the Authors
Between now and December, three gateway authors will be connecting with Liberty
September 27, 2017
Throughout this 2017-18 school year, the LHS library is inviting nine Gateway authors to connect with Liberty via Google Hangouts to answer any questions students may have about the authors books and other topics related to writing.
The library has never had the ability to connect with the Gateway authors and with nine of them willing to meet with LHS students, it is an amazing opportunity for students and the authors.
“I’m really encouraging our students to read one of the author’s books before they come to any of the visits because it helps the experience be more enriching for the students and as well as the author because they actually know what their books are about and what their writing styles like so they can ask good questions as well,” said Ms. Oliva, the school librarian. Oliva and Ms. Dotson, the assistant librarian, are so excited to plan these meetings and want to get you involved and excited too.
Estelle Laure will be visiting on Thursday, 9/28 during 8th hour. Robin Benway will be visiting on Wednesday, 10/18 during 3rd hour, Carolyn Lee Adams will be visiting on Wednesday, 11/15 during 3rd hour, and Brian Katcher will be visiting on Friday, 12/8 at 8 a.m.
