The Liberty choir has ended on a perfect note, closing out the semester with a holiday-themed concert. The choir has had a successful first semester and is now looking forward to starting off on the right note for the second.

Their last concert of the semester took place Tuesday, Dec. 12th in the auditorium and chamber choir, treble select and concert choir all performed. Chamber performed with the concert choir with a total of two songs and then four songs by themselves. Treble select had a total of four songs.

“It was definitely the best concert we have had all year,” junior Jen Deters said. Deters was looking forward to this concert and it didn’t disappoint her at all.

The choir has had several performances at Liberty so far this year. The first was the Festival of Choirs concert that took place on Oct. 3rd. The next one was the fall concert that took place on the Oct. 10. They also hosted the Wentzville Invitational on Nov. 20 and welcomed multiple high school choirs from across the area.

“The first two were also very good and it got me excited for the rest of the school year,” freshman Lola Cadice said.

The choirs also did some community outreach by carolling at Morning Star Church.

The choir has a lot more to do when the second semester kicks in. Although the official date for theses events has not been set, people are counting down the days one by one.

“We have the spring concert and couple of competitions that I’m really looking forward too,” Deters said.
