How often do you see promposals?

In recent years the amount of promposals have been going down. I feel like proposals have been a last minute thing compared to a long thought out process of what to do and make.

“I feel like they’re more popular for homecoming, not as much for promposal now that romance is like ‘dying.’ It’s been less popular since you can just text ‘hey wanna go to prom with me,'” Molly Mueller (12) said.

Not many people want to spend the time and energy to make these posters or other ideas to prompose. Preparing and showing the effort to show you your partner is the best thing you could do for a promposal.

“I’ve seen a few on social media, but at our school I haven’t seen anyone,” Keaton Franciskato (12) said.

Now there are people who still do promposals. There are definitely some people who still go all out in asking someone to prom.

“I haven’t seen any in person, but I know a handful of people who have done promposals, so I would say they are pretty popular,” Marissa Varga (11) said.

I still think promposals are kind of going out of style when you are able to just text your boyfriend or girlfriend and be able to say, “hey wanna go to prom with me” instead of a long thought out thinking of a promposal.

This is no shame to anyone who has done this but I think people should bring back an old tradition that has been going out of style to show how much we appreciate our partner.
