At first glance, Logan Wolfe (9) might seem like your typical high school freshman–new to the halls, adjusting to classes, learning the ropes. But when Wolfe steps into the weight room, it’s clear there’s nothing ordinary about him.
With strength and determination beyond his years, Wolfe has quickly made a name for himself as one of the most promising freshmen athletes. Whether it’s outlifting upperclassmen in the weightroom or dominating the competition in track and field, this freshman isn’t just keeping up–he’s setting the pace.
“I started my fitness journey in seventh grade, I was made fun of a lot for my weight so I decided to give myself a reason to be proud of it,” Wolfe said.
Not only is Wolfe an extremely competitive athlete – winning first, second, and third place for throwing in eighth grade, fourth place in the GAC wrestling in the 215-weight class, going 3-2 in the JV GAC and getting first in the Kansas City JV tournament – but he is also a devout Christian.
Along with track and field, Wolfe also plays football and does wrestling.
“I did football this year, played D tackle and O-lineman but I didn’t really like it that much. Wrestling was pretty fun, I got fourth in freshman GAC and fifth in overall JV, which is good because there’s like a billion people in JV GAC’s,” Wolfe said.
Because of his many hobbies and sports, Wolfe loves to be in the gym and weight room.
“I workout 6-8 times a week,” Wolfe said. “I love lifting, it’s one of the reasons I get up in the morning. The knowledge I’m getting better, getting stronger drives me. My bench PR (personal record) is 215, squat is 365, and deadlift is 425.”
As his freshman year progresses, it’s clear that Wolfe is just getting started. With his remarkable strength, unwavering work ethic, and a drive to succeed, he is not only making a name for himself but also setting the stage for an extraordinary athletic career. If his first year is any indication, the best is yet to come. And everyone’s watching to see just how far he’ll go.
