No-hitters are extremely rare for a pitcher to do. A good professional pitcher is lucky have one no-hitter in his whole career. But that didn’t stop Liberty’s junior varsity pitcher, Gabe Stockton as he faced off against Washington at home on April 25.

Stockton was the starting pitcher for the Eagles and he pitched his second no-hitter and complete game of the season. Liberty beat Washington 4-0. Stockton said he was really nervous in the last inning because it could all go away with just one hit. Unfazed, he pitched a perfect game and got his team the win.

The team is 6-5 so far this season and Stockton is showing a lot of promise as a catcher as well. He has a fantastic arm and has thrown out more than 10 runners this season. He has a lot of potential to be on the varsity team next year.

Don’t forget to catch a couple of games before the season is up. Their next game is at Troy Buchanan on April 30 at 4:15.
