It may be about sports, but when it comes to seniors Lawson Murphree and Donny Robinson, it’s a passion.

Torn ACL is a sports podcast that came into existence last year during broadcast media. It was started by Murphree and senior Matt Cappuccio.

“Matt and I usually were arguing about sports,” Murphree said. “Mr. Hall came up with the idea of having a sports podcast.”

When it came down to record the podcast, Cappuccio and Murphree thought of the same idea of the name. Torn ACL.

“It was catchy,” Cappuccio said. “Plus, it’s a common sport injury.”

Donny Robinson listened to Torn ACL and with some convincing by Murphree joined the show this year.

“I bring knowledge and memory of what happens,” Robinson said.

Robinson is pleased to be on the show and Murphree is honored that Robinson to be apart of Torn ACL.

Murphree brings his expertise on professional sports and NASCAR except for hockey and soccer.

Torn ACL has nine released episodes that cover all sports from the National Hockey League (NHL) to Major League Baseball (MLB). They have also provided their predictions for the NCAA tournament and the National Football League (NFL).

Both are avid sports fans and Robinson has appeared on KFNS (590 The Fan). You can listen to Torn ACL podcast on LHSToday.org.
