Film & Lit. student Jimmy Tarrant had this to say about the Best Picture and Best Animated Picture nominations. This is his Best Picture prediction.

“I think Black Panther will win. I honestly don’t want it to win. I think it will win not based off the movie, but based off the conversations of the movie. My pick would be The Favourite.”

Here’s his dilemma with the Best Animated Picture nominations.

“It’s a toss-up, if you went from an Academy-based view, probably Isle of Dogs. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is more of a crowd pleasing movie, so I could see why that would win. There’s nothing else that compares.”
