Studies show that aerobic exercise is proven to reduce anxiety and depression

Being active can contribute to move than just physical shape, and can help all around.

Being active can contribute to move than just physical shape, and can help all around.

Staying active is hard. It’s easier to sit at home playing video games than it is to go on a mile run. Out of the two, the choice is obvious, right? Although at times like this, when we’re quarantined and staying home, and sitting around is what seems like the only option, we need exercise more than ever.

According to the “NCBI” (National Center for Biotechnology Information), aerobic exercise is proven to reduce anxiety and depression.

Anxiety and depression can be induced by staying inside and being inactive. Without social interaction, it’s good to stay in the right mindset.

Not only can physical health improve your mental health, but research from “Harvard Medical School” suggests that exercise can improve your immune system, which is more important now than ever.

With COVID-19 cases increasing in number, it’s important to have strong health against contracting sickness.

Lastly, “Scientific American” explains that having good mental health, which as explained earlier can be obtained by exercise, can also improve your immune system.

All in all, exercise is very versatile for the human body, and it’s very easy to do too.  You don’t have to go out in run miles. There are simple ways that can be completed within your home such as:

  • Walking up and down the stairs
  • Jumping jacks
  • Yoga

So please, stay safe and stay healthy.
