A Magical Return To Cinema
Town Square Theatre to have a 20-year anniversary Harry Potter showings
August 30, 2021
With the decline of hometown cinemas during the crucible of the COVID-19 pandemic, a glimmer of hope comes from the boy who lived. Marcus Theatres announced that in honor of the 20-year anniversary of the Harry Potter series, select theatres will be showing all eight movies from Aug. 29 – Sept. 6.
“I was pretty young when the Harry Potter movies first came out, so I’m excited to have the chance to watch the movies in theaters,” senior Ashley Haberberger said. A whole new generation of fans are now able to watch the series on the bug screen for the first time.
The anniversary kickoff begins Aug. 29-31 will be where only “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will be shown to honor its two decades on the big screen. After a couple days off, Potterheads will have a chance to see all eight movies over Labor Day weekend for just $5 a ticket. Marcus Theatres is also offering the Hogwarts Express Pass that allows any moviegoer to see all eight films for $20. We’ve all missed the magic of the movies during the past year, and Marcus Theatres is bringing it back, literally!

I’ve always wanted to see Prisoner of Azkaban on the big screen, so this is great!
