If you see the person in the picture in the halls, congratulate him. He is Alex Miget, a freshman at Liberty, the September student of the month.

Miget thinks the reason he might be student of the month is because he always tries to help people out.

“I guess I’m very open to becoming friends with people, so if anyone needs help or if they want to talk, especially about technology…I’m kind of like a counselor, even though it’s not my job, I can help with dealing with things, especially if it needs to go to an authority figure,” she said. Miget is also a coder.

“I sometimes create websites, but I mainly mess around with games,” Miget said.

He uses a newer system called Cloud 9, coding with the Java coding language. He is on the Robotics team at school and helps with the Java development, which controls the robots while they are onstage.

“Alex is intelligent, driven, and most of all, perhaps most importantly, he is curious,” Mr. Schaper, Miget’s Pre-AP English I teacher, said.
