As Valentine’s Day came to end, there were a lot of mixed emotions about it. Some dread going to school, and others who were excited to see their significant other. But if you look closely, there are so many ways people celebrate Valentine’s Day.
One popular way to celebrate is with a significant other of course, or maybe with your friends, your family, and even yourself.
We spent some time and talked to the Eagles about how they spent their Valentine’s Day. We asked each person what Valentine’s Day means to them, and how they plan on spending it.
First, we saw a group of friends enjoying their “galentine’s day” together.
“Valentine’s to me is spending quality time with your friends and just having fun. I’d rather spend it with friends than having a relationship,” Zane Lovis said.
Next, we saw a freshman with their friends enjoying it mostly alone.
“Valentine’s day to me means love, and I spend it by myself,” freshman Eli Williams said.
Lastly, we wanted to get a teacher’s opinion and view on Valentine’s Day. We asked her what it means to her and how she is going to spend it.
“I spend Valentine’s Day at school, and then go home. Usually we have a special dinner, we also exchange cards and maybe a little candy together, but usually nothing too big,” French teacher Ms. Jennings said.
But on Valentine’s Day or not, you should always spread love and show those who you care about how much you care.
