The 2023-24 Key Club Cabinet sits with the newly inducted cabinet team for next year, as they listen to people speak during the Induction Ceremony.

As one school year ends, and another will begin after, there are many things that are closing down for the summer. From classes coming to the last parts of the curriculum to activities, such as sports, schedules winding down, summer does bring about a certain amount of endings.

However, with the closing of one year, many doors are opened, which show us the excitement that is yet to come in the following year.  Now, as the year ends, a new cabinet has been inducted for another year of Key Club.

The new cabinet team was officially inducted into their positions during the Inductions Ceremony that took place on the night of April 23, along with any new members of the club. Since then, the group has been busy with cabinet meetings, general meetings, and other responsibilities.

Sophomore Ella Quinney was recently inducted as the new editor for Key Club, and as the new year is approaching, she feels so excited to fulfill her role. Quinney said, “I can’t wait to work with the cabinet and strengthen the Instagram we have.”

Next year’s club officers:

  • President: Loukya Vaka (10)
  • Vice-President: Lorelei Wise (10)
  • Secretary: Naudia Watson-Booker (10)
  • Editor: Ella Quinney (10)
  • Social Committee Chairs: Madelyn Hamby (10), Rathi Thiagarajan (10), Deveshisai Chitturi (9), and Tanmayee Gogineni (9)
  • Builders Club Liaisons: Reese Bedford (11), Russell Haynes (11)

Along with the new cabinet team being elected on the club level, the chapter has once again placed more students in District Level officer positions.

Next year’s district board officers:

  • District Governor: Aarush Survi (11)
  • District Secretary: Pranad Balla (11)
  • District 4 Lieutenant Governor: Russell Haynes (11)

The induction of new officers, as well as the honor given to the old officers as they leave, marks a new beginning each and every new year. With meetings, conferences, and more, the excitement that is to come with 2024-25 school year is thrilling indeed.
