There was always that certain kid in high school growing up that was either bullied or made fun of. Imagine your bully sees you 20 years later and you are one of the most successful men to walk the earth. His success and profession are undeniable no matter what your view on Elon Musk is.
Elon Musk is the richest man on Earth worth $350 billion and has a numerous list of accomplishments. He has co-founded the electronic payment firm PayPal, founded SpaceX, founder of Tesla, but mostly, many people’s biggest role model.
Teacher Mr. Liston owns a Tesla and thinks very highly of Musk. He claims that “he’s a super genius, once in a lifetime guy.”
It all started with Zip2, the first startup company of his career. He wasn’t always rich. But how did he get to where he is today? When he dropped out of Stanford, he decided he wanted to be an entrepreneur. Then, in 1995, Kimbal Musk, Elon’s brother and Elon borrowed $28,000 from their dad to get their company started. Zip2 is an online city guide licensed to newspapers. It provided a searchable business directory that could be described as the internet version of yellow pages directory with maps included.
After the Musk brothers’ business took off, it became very successful. So in 1999, they sold the company for $305 million. Elon and Kimbal Musk, the founders, netted $22 million. It was sold to enhance Compaqs AltaVista web search engine.
Recently, Musk took the stage at Donald Trump’s rally to talk about taxes and government efficiency.
Teacher Mrs. Steinbruegge says that even though Musk is controversial, “his contribution to technology is undeniable.”
Musk said that he would save the US $2 trillion through a department of government efficiency. He is one of Trump’s biggest supporters and their relationship has significantly progressed since Trump has been running for president.
Musk was once an Obama supporter. But during Covid in 2020, there were around 450 Covid cases at the Tesla plant. Despite the setbacks with Tesla during Covid, their sales increased to over 35%. Tesla produced 509,737 and delivered 499,550 electric vehicles (EV’s) during 2020. Following Covid is when a switch flipped for Musk to start following in the path with Trump. But just this year, Musk got close in Trump’s inner circle. They both strongly believe that by coming together they will accomplish and set goals for people and accomplish many things.

It’s honestly silly to frame Musk as this “American Dream” persona, when in fact, he is one of the illegal immigrants Trump’s platform seeks to deport. Musk had a visa that allowed him to stay to be educated, but as soon as he dropped out, as you said, he lost his authorized status. Still, he is working with Trump to mass deport immigrants. He is hypocritical and merely lucky. People with that amount of money could never truly work enough to earn it. Other people make it for him.

Media bias occurs when journalists or news organizations allow their own opinions to affect the news that they report and the way that they report it. This is an example of it.
Also, it may help to know that Elon did not in fact start from humble beginnings, but rather was the son of a wealthy emerald mine owner who prospered under South Africa’s Apartheid rule.
While he has funded some projects, he didn’t start the majority of them, and is overly credited. He did not found Tesla, but rather buy them out and control their stocks.
