If you have been in the nurse’s office at all in the last few years, you would know who Marcey Watkins is. She was the staff member who many students would check in with. Now you may recognize her in a new location. 

Watkins has taken on a new role as the administrative assistant to athletic director, Cary Eldredge in the activities office.

“She is going to be great,” Eldredge said in an email to the staff announcing that Watkins as the administrative assistant. “I’m extremely grateful to have her,”  Eldridge said.

Deborah Wilke, who previously served as the administrative assistant in activities, passed away in Jan. after a lengthy battle with cancer.

After being in the nurse’s office for a little while.

“I just wanted something different,” Watkins said.

This job opportunity opened up. Watkins has many responsibilities in the office that oversees all of the sports and clubs.

“There are a lot of things I do from scheduled events, I schedule buses, I do purchase orders for all of the events and activities, I schedule people for games and a lot more,” Watkins said.  

It sounds like she has been very helpful with all of the sporting events and it seems like a great place for her to be. If you have not already stopped by the activities office, meet and welcome your new administrative assistant Mrs. Watkins.
