One of the most popular, active, and competitive clubs in high schools, is Student Council, otherwise known as StuCo.
“StuCo is a class that focuses on creating and running events and activities for community involvement,” active member, Alyssa Johnson (10), said. “Along with this, StuCo plays significant roles in several of our school’s events and extracurricular activities. StuCo promotes school spirit, creates a welcoming and fun environment, fundraises for good causes, and provides an exciting experience for Liberty students and faculty in and outside of Liberty’s campuses.”
Recently, StuCo has had to go through one of their most important seasons of the year: the recruitment process of choosing new students to represent their club. Along with that, there’s also new leaders who are in charge of StuCo, with many responsibilities.
For the upcoming 2025-26 school year, Chandler Hirtz (11) has become the new president and Kylie Richardson (11) is the new vice president. They are passionate about their new roles and have big plans.
“Next year I would love to be at a school that everyone is proud to wear on their backs, and that is more involved than ever before,” vice president Richardson said.

StuCo has several seniors leaving this year, which means many new traditions are to come into play. “We will be adding some new additions as well,” Richardson said.
This new school adventure will definitely be one to remember.
