The lights dim, the crowd sits up, and the scene is set. The audience has been transported to a hotel suite in the 1940s, a suite that has unknowingly been double booked by two arch-rival divas.

“Throughout the play, [the divas’] assistants, the manager of the hotel, and some of the bellhops, are trying to prevent this disaster from happening,” Annalisa Segura (12) said.

With the hotel manager slowly losing his mind, the assistants fearing the loss of their jobs, and the bellhops slipping up, preventing the disaster of the divas running into each other proves to be a difficult task.

What’s not a difficult task is watching “Suite Surrender.” “Suite Surrender” is a comedic farce that keeps the audience laughing and engaged.

“It is the ultimate performers’ high to hear laughter,” Lorelei Wise (12) said. That high is never ending in the show, with physical and verbal comedy abound, the audience is never quiet.

“Suite Surrender’s” cast is relatively small, consisting of nine cast members. The small cast gave them an opportuinty to become closer with each other. “I feel like I can connect with every individual person a lot more,” Sebastian Tabers (12) said. (MaryKate Stroud)

The show will run for three nights, Thursday, Nov. 13, Friday Nov. 14, and Saturday Nov. 15. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online for $5 for students, and $7 for general admission. If you want a good time and a lot of laughter, come see “Suite Surrender” this weekend.
