Liberty boys basketball is on their second 6-game win streak of the season and plan on adding  one more game to win the Parkway West Classic. They play the championship game on Friday at 8:30 p.m. against Hazelwood Central at Parkway West High School.

The Eagles have won some great games in the tournament. From the team winning their first game off a buzzer beater from Andy Jorris against Parkway South to winning a well-played game against Parkway Central.

“We got outplayed in the first game even with the win off the buzzer then the next game we responded well,” Coach Sodemann said.

The winning is a great feeling for the team, but they are reaching for more the rest of the season. The Eagles are playing great basketball showing why they can be one of the best in the state. Their job of impressing their opponents has gone well by having a record of 13-5, which is a game better than their first 18 games last season.

“The goal is to go out their and play our best against each opponent. Our goal is to win conference this year and we are playing well,” Sodemann said.
