Overturned Construction Vehicle on Liberty’s New Theater Site

Concrete truck down!

It was like any other Thursday afternoon. The construction workers were hard at work on Liberty’s new academic wing, most notably our long awaited theater. As the workers prepared to pour a piece of concrete for the seating area that kept the stage level for viewing by the audience, the concrete truck pouring the concrete began to tip, then fell all the way over.

“The truck was getting ready to pour concrete… the ground started to give way, and it was already on a slant. When something that big starts to go its kind of tipping and then completely tips over,” Liberty Principal Mr. Nelson said.

The protocol to return the truck upright is to bring in special tow trucks with a large winch to put it upright again.

No one, including the driver, sustained any injuries.
