Homecoming, student sections and spirit days. Most of our favorite things around Liberty are coordinated by Student Council, a small group of people with a huge love for our school.

In their club, order is slightly different this year. Ms. Holmes is going into her third year teaching at Liberty, but her first year as the StuCo advisor, replacing new assistant principal, Lindsay Sutherlin.

“We have a new presence in the StuCo class this year,” Bailey Cheatham said. “She really wants to make this a good year for the school.”

They are all excited for what’s to come and ready to take on the year. Right now, they have a head start on planning homecoming and are prepping for every Friday night football game, even the away games.

“Holmes is a great addition to our StuCo family this year,” Nicholas Raphael said. “She will make a great impact in our activities and help further develop our leadership skills.”

Not only are the members of StuCo ready to take on the year, but Holmes is as well.

“I have a mix of emotions; nerves and excitement. But I am super enthusiastic about starting this  new class,” Lindsey Holmes said.

Be on the lookout for the great opportunities StuCo will put on for our school this year.
