Four players scored in double figures and the varsity basketball team withstood a late fourth quarter rally from Lafayette in a 65-63 home victory Thursday.

Behind 15 points from starting point guard Jaden Betton, the Eagles won their third game in a row to improve their record to 8-3 on the season. Lafayette fell to 7-5. 

The Eagles had a 27-26 lead at halftime and went on a 19-11 run in the third to lead by nine going into the fourth quarter. But Lafayette would rally and had a chance to win the game on a last second 3-pointer.

Carter Ashby had 11 points while David Richard and Alex Fillner contributed with 12 and 11 points, respectively. 

The Eagles host Zumwalt East on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
