With the popularity of the Oculus VR headsets now having four versions with its newest installment being the Meta Quest Pro, the original creator of Oculus introduces a new VR headset. A more dangerous experience, and a more deadly risk: A virtual reality headset that explodes your brain when you lose in the game, unfortunately resulting in death.

Thankfully, this is only seen as a concept. But the creator of Oculus, Palmer Luckey, had fully designed a brand new VR headset with three small modules at the top of the headset which is pointed towards the center of your cranium. The headset is the same design as the Meta Quest Pro.

The three modules at the top of the headset are triggered when you lose in your VR game, which will send explosive devices straight into your brain, ultimately exploding your brain. Currently, this is seen as a piece of art and a concept that has already gotten multiple requests from convicts and even the U.S. military.

Many VR players and content creators were shocked and even a little scared of Luckey’s creation, and many have agreed that it’s better that this headset stays a concept and a piece of art.

Luckey’s response to the shocked reactions from everyone was that he wanted a more immersive experience, more intense motivation to keep playing, and to make it feel more real.

This headset also comes with a sword right next to it, which is the same sword that comes from a manga named “Sword Art Online.” This manga is also what inspired the deadly headset itself, where in the manga it mentions the Nervegear which works the same way as the real headset.

With the numerous crossed reactions over the deadly headset, we have no idea what is next for Luckey and his future creations for Oculus and beyond. As the headset itself still remains a scary concept, maybe one day it may unfortunately become a deadly reality for the users.
