Quarantine has been a tough time for everyone. A major difficulty for the younger kids especially has been keeping ourselves occupied. It seems like we’ve done everything, hasn’t it? These are some of the things that I do to keep myself occupied during the day, besides schoolwork of course.
My little sister has been showing me how to do new trampoline tricks
I really miss my friends so I've spent a good amount of my free time facetiming my friends. We already made plans to see each other when this is all over
I've also taken this time off to try and relax myself as much as I can. School already has a lot of pressure on some high school students. With the drama, relationships, needing to keep up the grades. School can be stressful. As much as I love and miss school, its nice to also have a little me-time. A couple nights a week when I'm not too busy, put on a face mask and read a book. Right now I'm reading a book that my mom gave me. It's about self-acceptance and it's nice to read a book like that and have a nice reminder.
I've spent a lot of time outside. I don't like that I've spending a lot of time inside, so I try to go outside as much as possible. My brother and I will go on runs or walks around my neighborhood, I'll jump on the trampoline with my step-siblings, and I ride my bike with my brother.
I've been watching a lot of Netflix and Disney+. I've rewatched a lot of my favorite older Disney movies and shows. And on Netflix I started to binge watch Glee again. I'm on season 3 already.
With all of the free time that I now have, I can practice new makeup looks. I haven't been able to wear makeup as much as I'd like in the past because of skin issues. But being in quarantine has actually made my skin clear up a lot. Stress makes me break out a lot and I was under a lot of stress the last couple weeks of school. Being away has made my skin clearer and I also don't break out when I try different makeup. I've practiced the bold look, glamorous look and even perfected the "natural" look. I plan on wearing that look over the summer and also into my Sophomore year
Me and my siblings love to bake. With all of the free time that we have, we bake something new once a week whether its cakes or muffins or cookies.
