The Eagles beat Francis Howell North 48-7 on Friday, Sep. 25 and earned their third win of the season. The Eagles kept North from scoring until the fourth quarter when Jeremy Moutray ran in a touchdown for his team with 9:56 left in the game.

The first touchdown of the game was scored by Jordan Smith (11) on a 47-yard run. Colby Adelsberger (11) scored the next two touchdowns of the game, the first on a 12-yard run and the second on a 16-yard run.

The second quarter kicked off with a touchdown by Smith on a 12-yard run. Alex Fillner (11) then caught Blake Seaton’s (12) pass with 5:36 left in the half, which made the score 34-0. Seaton ended the half with a 30-yard touchdown pass to David Richard (11). The Eagles were up 41-0 going into the second half.

“The energy on the field was hype and everyone was feeling it,” Tye Yeh (11) said.

Seaton scored the last Eagles touchdown of the game with 10:21 left in the third quarter on a 62-yard run. Moutray, of Howell North, scored the last touchdown of the game and the first touchdown for the Knights in the fourth quarter. The final score of the game was 48-7 and the Eagles now have a winning record of 3-2.

On defense, the Eagles had a sack apiece from Matt Craig, Gage Krogman and Parker Young. Yeh and Cole Blackstock both had a team-best five tackles apiece.

“A winning record feels good, but it’s nothing to dwell on. We went 1-0 last week and are looking to go 1-0 this week as well,” Yeh said. The Eagles play their next game at Washington (4-1) Friday at 7 p.m. and are going to keep pushing after this amazing win.
