Liberty’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes group continues to grow and undergo a significant transformation into one of the school’s largest organizations. What began as a small church group has blossomed into a major presence, drawing in large student crowds on Thursdays during Soar Time. The shift has been so significant that it’s become a talking point not just among students, but also faculty and community members alike.

A key element has been FCA’s approach to inclusivity. While rooted in Christian values, FCA has made a conscious effort to welcome students from all backgrounds and beliefs. This has created a more diverse and accepting environment, appealing to a broader range of students seeking community and connection.
“Honestly, just the work of the Lord, working in people’s hearts. And convicting the leadership team to share the love of Christ,” sponsor Mr. Hendricks said.
As a result, FCA has become a vibrant hub where faith and friendship intersect, making it one of the most talked-about and attended groups on campus.
“I go to FCA because it always makes me feel better in some way,” Isabella Thornton (9) said. “I would recommend FCA to everyone because it is a fun way of making friends but also getting closer to Jesus at the same time.”
Word spread quickly, the meetings grew larger, and FCA has transformed into a dynamic force for good, uniting students through Christ. They meet every Thursday during red lunch in the auditorium and is open to all students.
