Marissa Shook, Reporter

Marissa Shook is a sophomore at Liberty and just moved here this year. She loves to wrestle with her family but she doesn’t wrestle as a sport. In her future, she wants to either be in the Army or military. This summer she went to Colorado for her birthday. Marissa’s favorite movie right now is “Purple Heart.”

The national anthem was performed at the start of the assembly by members of LHS choir.

Dr. Nelson spoke about the importance Veterans Day and honoring our veterans at the assembly.

NHS put together a poster featuring photos of honored veterans related to Liberty students and staff.

Veterans stood up for the playing of "Taps." “Taps” is a special song to the United States military, as it is played at funerals, wreath-laying ceremonies and memorial services of fallen soldiers. It was played by two trumpet members of band during the assembly.

Mr. Creen wears his Civil Air Patrol uniform on Veteran's Day.
