Dierbergs is opening up a new location in Lake St. Louis on the southwest corner of Ronald Reagan Drive and Orf Road next fall. This new store, Dierbergs’ 26th store, will be next to Lowes in Hawk Ridge. The store will be about 71,000 square feet.

Dierbergs is working with new partners for the development of the store. These include CD companies for architecture and engineering, also PARIC, the general contractor who is said to be using numerous local union contractors to complete this build in time for the 2021 holiday season. The specific release date for this new Dierbergs is yet to be released, but we do know that it is scheduled to be during fall in 2021.

“Our family is so thrilled to be building a store in Lake Saint Louis. We put a lot of thought and energy into the design of this store and think our customers will enjoy seeing it come to life,” said Greg Dierberg, president and CEO of Dierbergs Markets. “We feel the timing is right to open a location in this fast-growing community and pleased to be adding new jobs in the process.”

The people of Lake St. Louis also have some comments about this new store.

Dierbergs is currently under construction in Hawk Ridge. While the exact date hasn’t been set, the store opens its doors in the fall of 2021.

“The Dierbergs development is a very important addition to the city of Lake Saint Louis, and also the surrounding area in St. Charles County and adjacent municipalities,” Kathy Schweikert, mayor of Lake Saint Louis, said. “The collaboration has been tremendous, from the team at Dierbergs to City Staff, the Lake Saint Louis Planning & Zoning Commission, and final approval from the Board of Aldermen. I’m grateful and so thrilled to have had the opportunity to play a part in this exciting enhancement to our popular Shoppes at Hawk Ridge shopping destination. Comments from the community also express their excitement to have Dierbergs in their neighborhood.” 

Many Lake St. Louis residents are ready for this store to open. “I’m very excited, I’ve wanted a Deirbergs to open up for a long time,” says Suzanne Dierks, a local member of the community and a substitute teacher at the local high school.
