With every new school year comes new faces to new clubs. This is no different for German Club, hosting more students than previous years.

The first German club meeting was held outside of the cafeteria on Sept. 8 during red lunch. During this meeting, all students were welcome to come and enjoy grilled bratwurst and sauerkraut.

This year, German club has a new president, Payton Busselman, who is a senior this year. Busselman has plans on how to take German club to the next level.

“I plan to have more meetings to make it a bigger community,” she states.

Busselman has been around German culture her whole life, as her Oma and Opa (grandma and grandpa) were from Austria-Hungary.

“It’s very important to me and I have always loved the German culture,” Busselman said.
