Anna Simms

Anna Simms, Editor-in-Chief of LHStoday.org

Anna Simms is the editor-in-chief of LHStoday.org and this is her third year in publications. She is also in her senior year and second year at SCC. After high school, Anna plans on going to a university to study biomedical sciences, and later get a doctorate. She is also a part of Liberty’s drama club as an executive board member, and has done both acting and tech. Outside of school, you can find Anna either taking photos, editing, hanging out with friends, listening to music, or reading!

Sophomore Julia Miller performs a routine with the Liberty Spirit Squad during the annual Swofford game assembly, which was held on April 4 in the gymnasium. This is an annual fundraiser that provides  two $1,000 scholarships for two Liberty seniors. This game resulted in the staff members winning 41-26, continuing their winning streak.

Senior Emina Topcagic hugs junior Brandt Cleppe after finding out her vocal solo performance was rated as exemplary on March 2. This ranking is the highest ranking, and means that she will go on to compete at the state level on April 26.

During the seventh annual talent show, junior Divya Kollipara performs a classic dance orginating from southern India known as Bharatanatyam. Dance means everything to me, Kollipara said. I can put in all my emotions into it and create an amazing performance that people can enjoy. At the end of the night, Kollipara was announced as the judges choice winner of the talent show. I was not expecting to win, I felt very honored and grateful that I won, Kollipara said.
