This year, Liberty as well as the other high schools in the Wentzville School District are holding a professional clothing drive, with Liberty’s going until March 17. This clothing drive is being hosted to help the community as a whole and to bring everyone together.

“Students often do not know what to wear to a job interview or do not have the resources to purchase professional dress clothes,” Ms. Kleiber, a teacher at Liberty and one of the sponsors of this event, states.

If you want to donate to the clothing drive, please bring your items to Ms. Sachs’ room 451 between Feb. 6 until March 17.

“My students will be processing the donations we receive, so no fear if things come in a little wrinkly,” Sachs said. “We want to have as many items as possible to support our community.”

Liberty will also be hosting the St. Charles County Job Fair and Career Expo on March 30 from 5-8 p.m. Not only does this event help by donating clothing to students in need, but it also allows for students to connect with local businesses, post-high school programs and schools.

At this event, there will be multiple workshops such as resume writing, interview preparation, as well as a “shop” where students can look through the donated items. Donations are accepted for those wanting to donate money, as all the proceeds will go towards a scholarship to help students.

There are a wide variety of items that you can donate such as professional dresses, shoes, accessories, and hangers just to name a few. All of these items can be dropped off in room 451 where Ms. Sachs’ students will be helping out by cleaning, ironing, hanging, and then organizing the items donated.
