What would you do to go to New York?

DECA is planning to make the trip Dec. 6-10 and has decided to fundraise to help pay for this experience.

DECA had a bake sale last week in the cafeteria during all lunches and it featured many desserts and sweets like cake pops, brownies and lemon bars. DECA earned more than $500 for their trip, which is very good.

“We are going to tour marketing businesses like Madison Square Gardens ad Times Square,” said DECA sponsor Mr. Barnes.

There are going to be many upcoming events for DECA. There is a daddy/daughter dance in February.

DECA is a way to train to be in a business or a marketing major. It is an international association of high school and college students and teachers of marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing.

Many students at Liberty participate in DECA. Addison Haynes is just one of them.

“It let’s you be creative in the way you do things,” Haynes said.
