Liberty has a bunch of new freshmen this year and Jordin Burney is one you may know. Burney is known to be a kind, trustworthy and genuine person.
Burney is a good student that studies hard and works to achieve good grades. She originally went to Frontier Middle School before joining Liberty. Burney says that being in Frontier allowed her to already have a lot of friends that transitioned into high school with her.
Burney explained that even when some friend groups split up during the year it has allowed her to also find better people that she has a better connection with and their personality go well together. “To move on from old or toxic friendships, you should find better people that make you happier and that you work well with,” Burney said.
Burney is involved in GSA, drama club, and jazz band. She likes spending time outside of school such as baking cooking in her time after school. Burney enjoys cooking for friends and family and showing her kindness in the food she makes.
Freshman Matthew Johnson explains that Burney and him have been friends for two years and not once have they fallen out. Johnson talks about throughout their whole friendship Burney has been nothing but trustworthy and kind.
“Jordin is one of the most trustworthy friends I know,” Johnson said. Burney is known as a friend and a good student but she’s also known as a big sister to eight younger siblings. Burney talks about having a big family as the oldest a lot of responsibility falls onto her.
“One of my biggest struggles is trying to keep all my siblings on task in school and do their homework,” Burney said. Having to balance family school and extracurricular is difficult but she manages and is doing very smoothly in her daily routine.
