School is already stressful enough. Add sports, honors classes and a (somewhat) social life to that and freshman soccer player Aidan Holtz manages his time wisely.

Holtz has been playing soccer since he was just 4 years old.

“I decided that I wanted be a soccer player in preschool,” Holtz said.

He has stayed committed to that dream ever since. Holtz is on the freshman team and also plays club soccer outside of school at Rush.

You’d think that playing a sport would add to stress, but for him, soccer is a stress reliever.

“I can take out all my problems on the field,” Holtz said. “Soccer helps distract me from all the stress.”

Holtz is also a straight A student.

“I manage my time by always being focused on work by making sure that I always have everything done.”

Aside from being a good student, Holtz is also well known for being a good player.

“He’s a really well-rounded player,” says Maven Giffin, a friend of Maven’s who’s also on the freshman soccer team.

In his free time, Holtz enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
