It is harder to gain money as a 15 year old.

Many teenagers can most likely relate that one of the worst ages as a teen is 15. It is a boring middle age just like 17, where you can’t drive yet and sometimes you can’t even get a job. I am 15 right now but only for 3 more months. I feel like I have been 15 for forever though.

I can’t speak for all 15 year olds when I say this, but this is one of my least favorite ages to be right now. It stinks the most because I am so close to getting my license, yet it still feels like it’s forever away. When I turned 15, I was excited because it meant that I could get my permit and be closer to driving but now I just want to be 16. I’m usually always with my two best friends and only one of the three of us can drive, which I imagine is a lot of pressure for her. That’s why I feel like March couldn’t come any slower because I am so ready to start driving.

Not having a job is also a big issue for me. I go through money pretty fast so not having a way to get money frequently is a struggle. Only a few jobs hire 15 year olds and one place that my friend and I applied to never even called us back. In my defense, they have done that before to someone I know too. But still it makes getting a job at this age even more difficult when they don’t bother to call you back. At this point, I still want and need a job but I might just have to wait a couple more months before I can get one. I also go to QT a lot and probably spend at least $7 a week there.

Basically, the first couple months of being a 15-year-old is great but after a while it gets boring. When I got my permit, I thought that this year would go by fast but now I know that I was wrong. Many other kids in my grade are getting their license and driving more so it’s not fun being one of the kids who can’t. I really hope that these last three months of this age goes by super fast.

Basically, being a 15-year-old isn’t fun due to the lack of money and transportation. Also, the eagerness of turning 16. Some places do hire at this age so it is possible to get a job but hopefully 16 will be there before you know it.
