The soccer team has been kicking it this year having a record of 14-7 with their latest win being Tuesday, Oct. 16th in a 3-1 winner against Washington.

Senior Jack Kavanaugh has been the top offensive player overall with 19 goals, 13 assists, 51 points, and 7 game winning goals. One of the reasons the team is doing so well is because of senior Evan Witte who has a record of 11-3 and 6 shutouts.

Coach Raziq thinks the team has progressed this year.

“I think that we’re gearing up all our efforts for districts,” Raziq said.

He also likes the team’s performance too.

“I think we’ve played very well at times. I think we have the ability to play with anybody in the state.”

Coach Raziq is not the only person on the Eagles team though that’s proud of the team.

“I am impressed with my team this year, we got a great set of boys,” senior Parker Freeman said.  Freeman has confidence in his team for sure, going as far as saying, “Yeah, I think we’re getting farther then we have. I think we can make a state run.”

The team is third in the division behind Fort Zumwalt South and one game behind first-place Holt.  Winners of their last 5 of 6 matches, the Eagles will play Timberland and Holt before beginning district play.

A lot of positivity has been coming from the team this year and they look to keep going forward.

The team’s next games are:

Tuesday, Oct. 23 vs Timberland @Timberland – 6 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 25 vs Holt @Liberty – 6:30 p.m.
