Showin’ Off Our School Spirit

Liberty shows off spirit

Katie Brillos, Reporter

Our Liberty staff and students represent our school by going all out in spirit week.

PJ Day

Sophomore Braden McMakin shows off his messy hair, white t-shirt, slippers, and boxers (with compression shorts underneath). Braden wanted to think out of the box for this year’s PJ day spirit week and wear something that no one has before. Most kids would wear typical PJ pants but Braden said he wanted to think outside of the box with a “unique outfit”.

Color Wars

Nicole Knobbe represents red in the crazy color wars. She tells how she wanted to “go all out” for her final year at Liberty. Nicole wore a red, sparkly pair of Converse to go with red tights, a big red tutu, a red cheer shirt, and a red bandanna to tie it all together.

Family Road Trip

Mrs. Pizzo dresses as a grandma wearing a long night gown that touches the floor and uses a walker. She got her outfit from home and her walker from her parents.  Mrs. Pizzo claims how she wanted to get her students and fellow staff members excited for spirit week. She also excitedly tells how much she loves being here at Liberty and everything about it.

Tacky Tourists

Emma Ingle shows off her school spirit, wearing long high wasted jeans with a belt, a striped button down shirt, white socks to go with her Birkenstocks, an upside down visor, and ties it all together by covering her face in pink makeup to make it look like a sunburn, which she got all at Goodwill. Emma was encouraged to show off her school spirit by her tennis coach and because she thinks dressing up and having school spirit makes school more fun.

Red, White, and Blue Day

Mr. Flores is covered head to toe in red, white, and blue. He is wearing American flag pants, a red t-shirt with an American flag shirt over it and an American flag bandanna. Flores’ neighbor helped him get together his outfit by loaning him some clothes.  Flores wanted to dress up and show off his school spirit to get the kids excited for this Saturday’s homecoming.
