On Tuesday morning, the world was shocked when they woke up and read the headlines about Takeoff’s murder. He was shot and killed at a private party at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas. Takeoff, who was 28 at the time of his death, was an American rapper known for being one of three members in the Migos. The Migos are a very successful music trio made up of the three members Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset.
Growing up with the other members, Takeoff was very successful with the group. He and his uncle Quavo and his first cousin Offset made a name for themselves back around 2014 making one of their first hit songs “Fight Night.” Another song that gained them some more traction was a song called “Look at my dab.” Once they started making some noise on the music scene they released their first studio album, “Culture.” “Culture” was one of the biggest albums of the decade and it shaped all three of the members lives that was to come. Everyone loved that album and heard it everywhere nonstop. Hit songs like T-Shirt, or Slippery might ring a bell. The main hit from that album was Bad and Boujee. That song really put the Migos right smack dab in the middle of the music scene. Takeoff was really taking off and he and the other members rose to the top of Hollywood stardom fairly fast. They would go on to perform at countless shows and venues and just stayed at the top.
Takeoff’s death shook the world. It was so unexpected and waking up to that kind of news is the worst. All thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. It all happened over a game of dice and Takeoff was just collateral damage. Everyone said that Takeoff was the quietest and calmest one in the room when Quavo got into the altercation. Shots were fired and Takeoff passed away at the scene getting shot in the head. The world mourns during this tragedy as people took their thoughts to social media about the incident. Offset has been away from the group and really away from everyone as he was not there when the fight broke out. Allegedly, the bullet was meant for Quavo, but ended up taking the life of another Migos member.
