The Director’s Role
Ms. Willis Juggles Her Teaching and Directing
September 29, 2017
School plays, the lights, the costumes, the props, the hair, the makeup and much, much more. Who’s in charge of all of that? The director, of course.
The director for the Night of Three Acts is Ms. Willis. She teaches a variety of courses here at Liberty, which includes Technical Theater, Theater Arts, Public Speaking, Improv and Acting. She has been directing school plays for Liberty since January.
“I directed some of my college school plays as well,” Ms. Willis said. For the Night of Three Acts, each act is 30 minutes and will be the first play in the new auditorium.
“I don’t have a favorite act out of the three, because they are all unique in their own way,” she said.
You heard it from the director herself. So come on down to the auditorium sometime between Nov. 16-18 at 7 p.m., and don’t forget to bring a friend and a sense of humor because you’ll be laughing all night.
