Imane Larhdiri, Alysha Sims, Diana Flores-Cortes and Isabel Tenorio Ballinas took first place with their skit “Quiero bailar, quiero cantar.”

Fifty seven Liberty Spanish and French level 3 and AP level 4 students attended the UMSL World Languages Day on Friday, Sept. 22.

Students participated in a campus-wide scavenger hunt, learned and played a variety of cultural games, and participated in communication activities in their target languages. AP Spanish students also entered their work into skit and poster competitions.

Liberty students pushed hard, fought, and ended up coming out on top. Diana Flores-Cortes, Imane Larhdiri, Alysha Sims and Isabel Tenorio Ballinas took first place with their skit “Quiero bailar, quiero cantar.” Christian Scott and Ajla Topcagic also finished first place in the poster competition.

Carson Nolan, Laney Torbit, Campbell Bahr, Camila Rodriguez, Kaitlyn Stumpf, and Ellen Ziegler earned an Honorable Mention for their skit, “Celebración de bailar.”  This group was unable to be there to accept their award, so Mrs. Greminger and Riley Torbit accepted it on their behalf.
