LeRoy Caudill wipes down tables after lunch ends. He has been working in schools for 30 years.
Roy Caudill has been working in schools as a custodian and in maintenance for the past 30 years. He was a favorite among the students and staff before retiring in April.

Our Goal
Your donation will support the student journalists of Liberty High School. For the 2025-26 school year, we are trying to purchase additional cameras and video equipment for our growing media program. We also plan to attend the national journalism conference in Orlando in November 2026.

Lydia Hamby, Reporter
Lydia Hamby is a senior in highschool. She is returning to publications after last being in the program sophomore year. Hamby is an associate in The CAPS Creative Media strand, interning with Jeanie Smith where she will be able to enhance her photography, videography and even writing skills. In her free time can be found producing digital art and watching Gilmore Girls. Hamby is an active member of Key Club where she also holds the position of editor.
Lily Nelson, Reporter
Lily Nelson is a senior and this is her first time in a publications class. She is an athlete and it is her fourth year playing volleyball at Liberty and she is participating in track for the second year this spring. She had just moved to the school district freshman year. She went to a private school from first to third grade. Then after she attended the Francis Howell School District for five years, her parents wanted to move over to O’Fallon. She is currently employed at Top Golf as a food runner after taking a break from her job of almost three years at Sugarfire.
Janelle Alvarez, Reporter
Janelle Alvarez is a sophomore who is originally from Texas. She moved to Missouri in December 2022. This is her first year in journalism and first full school year at Liberty. She is very creative and works hard. She is working as a lifeguard and does swim lessons. She loved spending time with friends and family. In the future she is hoping to pursue something in the medical field, or business.
