Many Liberty students showed up to support our team Friday at Timberland Friday.

The Timberland Wolves’ theme was a Hawaiian Luau whereas the Liberty Eagles chose an all-black theme to represent their team spirit. There was an impressive amount of support shown for the Liberty Eagles.

Although we lost 48-7, our one touchdown was an impressive 77-yard run by Wesley Hines. Hines got the crowd all psyched up for the rest of the game and showed that our team has a lot of potential going forward in the season.

In the stands, the Liberty student supporters were painted with black paint and cheered for their team all night long.

“I love going to the LHS football games every Friday night to cheer on the team and spend time with my friends – it’s a great way to end the week,” senior Abby Falgout said.

Football games are a staple for the high school experience regardless if our team wins or loses.

“High school is honestly so much more fun whenever you go to and enjoy the games. Even when we don’t win, I still love standing in the student section and cheering on our team,” said senior Hannah McCrary.
