Due to expected road conditions, WSD calls off school for Mon. Jan 22 making it the third snow day this month.

With dangerous road conditions predicted in our future, the WSD has announced a school closure for tomorrow, Jan. 22.

Winter weather advisories have be announced across the St. Louis area, and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. Monday.

“Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes,” The National Weather Service stated.

Freezing rain is expected to coat the roads between one tenth to two tenths of an inch of ice.

These roads would become very hazardous for students and staff members morning commute to schools all across the district.

For more information check your local weather channel for updates.
